Getting There & Parking

Turning Stone Resort Casino is at 5218 Patrick Road, Verona, New York — about thirty minutes east of Syracuse, right off Thruway Exit 33.

Self parking in the resort garages is free, and complimentary valet is available at the Tower main entrance.

Our program runs in two areas of the property, plus the entertainment wing on Thursday evening.

The CLASS Observer Certification meets all three days in Oak, over near the Event Center rather than in the Conference Center. Certification attendees should allow a few extra minutes to get there.

Thursday evening’s reception and karaoke. It’s in the entertainment wing, a different part of the property from the meeting rooms.

Evenings

Wednesday, 5:30–8:30 PM — join the Head Start Family and Community Celebration, a welcoming dinner in Onondaga. Doors at 5:30, dinner around 6:00.

Thursday, 5:00–10:00 PM — the reception moves to the Turquoise Tiger, with karaoke from 7:00.

Lodging

The Tower and the Brook are inside the main property. The Lodge and the Crescent are a short walk away.

Dress is business casual.
Meals are provided throughout — come hungry.
Bring a light layer. September evenings in central New York can be cool.
Bring business cards. Some of the best parts of this conference happen between sessions. Make it easy for people to find you afterward.
Bring something from your program. A brochure, a pin, a sticker — anything that shows the work you do. It's an easy way to start a conversation, and we love seeing the range of programs in the room.
